Megan HertelMegan Hertel, Assistant District Attorney:Megan attended Georgia Southern University, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, minoring in Justice Studies, and later took her law degree magna cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law in Rhode Island. While in law school, she interned with the U. S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit and the Rhode Island Superior Court, and participated in the Business Start-Up Clinic. She worked in the legal department for Liberty Utilities throughout law school. After graduation, Megan recruited for her law school before being admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2017, and joining the Paulding Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. Megan is a self-described army brat who has called Utah, Washington, Oklahoma, California, Kansas, Rhode Island, Kentucky and Georgia home.
